I am very lucky to live near close to a busy RAF base, so I often hear aircraft flying around. Nearby is a viewing area known to locals as The Wave (short for Waddington Aircraft Viewing Enclosure). It offers decent views of planes flying around and when there is a quiet period, they also have a selection of hot food (think bacon butties, sausage baps and burgers). It is a lovely place to spend a few hours relaxing...
